For more than 60 years, through three generations of family ownership, Willis Custom Homes has been guided by one simple principle:

Context Regarding Recent Concerns

We are aware of concerns recently shared regarding one of our homes. We take every concern seriously and have consistently responded promptly and professionally whenever an issue is brought to our attention.

Our focus remains on working constructively to resolve issues in a fair and responsible manner.

Project Background

Willis Custom Homes originally contracted to build this home for approximately $3.5 million on a lot already owned by the homeowner.
During construction, the homeowner expanded the scope, resulting in a final contract value of approximately $6.6 million.
This matter became public after the homeowner informed us that, unless we purchased the home for approximately $9.6 million, they intended to undertake a public campaign against our company.
When we declined this request, the campaign proceeded.
Despite this, our position is consistent: we want to work toward a reasonable resolution and complete any appropriate repairs.

Our Proposed Resolutions

Remediation: Immediate remediation of any room where mold is present, at our expense, including areas we do not believe were caused by our work, using independent testing and professional mitigation.
Restoration: Restoring all affected areas to like-new condition following remediation.
Extended Warranty: An additional two-year warranty for the current homeowner, fully transferable to future owners.

Addressing Specific Allegations

Structural Integrity: Independent evaluations have not supported claims of structural deficiencies. We remain open to further third-party reviews.
Health Concerns: We have requested documentation to have these concerns evaluated by medical and environmental professionals.
